Courtney Conlogue is saying hello to her second WSL Championship Tour win of the season. After and exciting win in Huntington at her home break Court came itching for more in France. Watching this girl’s drive and determination never ceases to amaze us. She charged her way through heats landing her in Round 3 with Steph Gilmore and Malia Manual. With a tough heat beating out Steph who was #1 on the tour Courtney should the crowd she wasn’t going to let anything get in her way of chasing for a win. Through the quarters she continued to perform and was able to pull off win over Johanna Defay, by .67! This put her head to head in a Semi Final with Carissa Moore. Carissa and Court both fought hard but Courtney’s second wave score of a 6.57 just could not be beat leaving her with an overall of 14.14, and a .88 win shooting her straight into the final.
This Final was unlike we have ever seen and one we will remember! Out in the water was both our very own Courtney Conlogue and injury replacement for this contest, Macy Callaghan. We knew Macy was going to put up a fight since she continued to make upsets and move through the leaderboard this contest, putting her into her first ever WSL championship tour final. The girls fought hard and proved they are both full of competition and drive. Nearing the end of the heat Courtney was able to maintain a lead & as the buzzer went off, she was stoked to know she was this year’s, France Pro Champ!
We are proud of both of these girls and loved watching all the action and excitement they conveyed through this contest. Cheers Courtney, on another WSL Championship Tour win!!
